Public hearing: 10-foot setback for all properties on Canadian border

The Whatcom County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing regarding a proposed amendment to implement a 10-foot setback for all properties along the Canadian border. The proposal will allow for the International Boundary Commission to manage a 20-foot vista along the border, 10 feet on each side of the border would be managed for this vista. This hearing will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at the Northwest Annex, 5280 Northwest Drive, Bellingham, WA. The public can submit written comments and/or attend the hearing to provide oral comments. Written comments may be submitted to:
