Upcoming work party at Bell Creek

DEMING – The Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA) and the Whatcom Land Trust will hold a work part at Bell Creek in Deming on Saturday, March 13. The volunteer work party will remove non-native, invasive plant species such as Himalayan blackberry and Japanese knotweed, as well as old barbed-wire fencing along Bell Creek and the North Fork of the Nooksack River. To access this new site, take Bell Creek Road off of Mount Baker Highway and watch for signs. Parking will be available. Volunteers are welcome and need to check in at the blue NSEA tent.
